ONE WEEK
DRAMA - What would you do if you had one week to live?
When confronted with his mortality, twenty something Ben Tyler (Joshua Jackson - Battle in Seattle, Bobby) impulsively buys a vintage motorcycle and sets off on a road trip that starts off in Toronto as an ill-defined venture that soon morphs into a quest for the West Coast, ending up in the town of Tofino on Vancouver Island . Humourous, profound and extremely moving, One Week uses the great Canadian landscape as the backdrop to the story of a man and his life’s journey. In the search for himself, he finds out what makes this country, and his life, so beautiful.
The film features such Canadiana as the Stanley Cup, Tim Horton's coffee, a cameo by Gord Downie from popular Canuck rock band the Tragically Hip and pit stops at some of the country's cheesier tourist attractions, including the world's largest nickel in Sudbury, Ontario, and the dinosaur provincial park in Alberta.
Cool soundtrack featuring Great Lake Swimmers, Sam Roberts Band, Patrick Watson, Stars, Joel Plaskett + more.
ONE WEEK scores consistently high ratings among viewers: Rotten Tomatoes: 94%; Flickster: 82%; IMDB: 7.1 (out of 10) Watch ONE WEEK Trailer
FRIDAY THE 13TH (2009)
HORROR - Welcome back to Crystal Lake in a chilling re-imagining of the classic horror film Friday the 13th.
Searching for his missing sister, Clay Miller (Jared Padalecki) heads up to the eerie woods of legendary Crystal Lake, where he stumbles on the creaky remains of rotting old cabins behind moss-covered trees.
And that's not the only thing lying in wait under the brush.
Against the advice of police and cautions from the locals, Clay pursues what few leads he has in the search for his missing sister, Whitney (Amanda Righetti), with the help of Jenna (Danielle Panabaker), a young woman he meets among a group of college kids up for an all-thrills weekend. But they are all about to find much more than they bargained for.
Little do they know, they've entered the domain of one of the most terrifying specters in American film history—the infamous killer who haunts Crystal Lake, armed with a razor-sharp machete… Jason Voorhees.
POWDER BLUE

With Kris Kristofferson, Lisa Kudrow and Patrick Swayze in unforgettable
supporting roles, this film movingly chronicles the imperfect lives of people teetering on the edge of despair and the miracles that bring them back.
